Patagonia Case Study: Corporate Social Responsibility in Action
For my final case study in Strategic Communication Case Studies, I researched, wrote, and presented an in-depth analysis of Patagonia’s landmark decision to transfer company ownership to fight climate change. The case focused on how founder Yvon Chouinard’s move to give away company shares reinforced Patagonia’s corporate social responsibility, reshaped brand perception, and redefined ethical business practices.
I explored Patagonia’s internal and external communication strategies and examined their public response, stakeholder impact, and long-term brand implications. The final deliverables included a written case study (25-30 pages) and a visual presentation, highlighting Patagonia’s role as a trailblazer in purpose-driven business.
